I have been involved in all aspects of managing property, including giving due diligence advice on an acquisition or delivering specific portfolio advice.I was responsible to co-ordinate the Midlands and South West Retail Management Teams from Birmingham, focused on business development and was Account Director for a number of Cushman & Wakefield clients. I worked with many clients over this period including Canada Life, USS, Topland Group, Royal London, Birmingham Alliance (Hammerson, Land Securities & Henderson), USS, Thornfield, Vixcroft, Kandahar, Capital & Regional, Delancey and many others. Examples of shopping centres managed were Mander Centre, Wolverhampton; Drake Circus, Plymouth; Grand Arcade Cambridge; Saddlers Centre, Walsall; Regent Arcade, Cheltenham and Bullring, Birmingham. I joined Donaldsons in 2001, as a Partner in their Retail Asset Management Team and as Chief Executive of its Resource Management Division. I had a national role in Donaldsons responsible for the operational management of their retail portfolio which included some 100 shopping centres, as well as a number of leisure schemes and retail parks in the UK. I also worked in Portugal for 6 months to help develop the shopping centre business. I became a Director of DTZ in 2007 when the companies merged.

I joined Land Securities in 1986 and was Head of their Midlands, South Wales and South West Team from 1998, with a specialism in retail property but also managing many offices and industrial premises. I was a Board Member of the City Centre Company (Coventry) Ltd. I was involved in the refurbishment of the Cornbow Shopping Centre, Halesowen, which was awarded the ICSC Award for best refurbished shopping centre.
