The Solution Architect or Sales Engineer is a critically important member of the sales team. With the requirements of demand generation, forecasting and maintaining high-level customer relationships, sales reps no longer have time to be deep in the technology. I was a sales rep for many years and decided to move into the SA/SE role because of my technical skill set and passions. Memory-based computing is the new model since data has grown too large to move it around. The NVMe protocol and QLC nand memory combined with Storage Class Memory now allows this be practical to implement. I am passionate about helping organizations make the move to it. Companies also no longer care where IT infrastructure resides. Increased business agility is what matters. Traditional IT no longer meets the needs of today’s corporations.
