Began my career with United Family Life Insurance in December, 1975, representing Luff-Bowen Funeral Home. Qualified for trips and sales incentive awards. Promoted to Management 1984. Trained and assisted Funeral Home Sales Representatives across middle Tennessee. Achievements include the development & completion of United Family’s "First Pre-Need trust conversion" in 1988. Over $500,000.00 in funds! Leading the way to additional Trust Conversions. In 1986 created spreadsheets monitoring sales/setting goals. Positive results brought executive recognition.In 1988, assisted development of and introduced Computers to Funeral Home accounts, a program called “Vital Link”, processing premium payments to the home office, reconciliation and collections via “online” data connection, this is prior to today’s internet! Selling the Computer / Printer package to Funeral Homes, set up, trained office and field staff programs, computer aspects & fundamentals. “Vital Link” ultimately became the standard accounting method for Funeral Homes associated with United Family. In 1991, a Sales Administrative Management and Marketing program, designed to assign qualified leads to Sales Reps., with follow up of selected letters, approaches and reporting was developed, known as “PIMS”, Pre-Need Information Management System. Selected to introduce & set up Field Management in home or office computer networks, training Tennessee area Sales Managers & Sales Reps., for United Family Life. Prior to the current internet, transmission was completed by phone modem!Fellowship Designation “LUTCF” & “AMTC” highly recognized management and educational achievements in the Life Insurance industry. “CPS” / National Funeral Directors Association. Member of the Tennessee Funeral Sales Supply Club. Regional Director of Tennessee, N.
