Regular external contacts included the University Registrar, the Registrars of the faculties and the colleges, as well as the School of Graduate Studies, Ontario University Application Centre, Ontario College of Teachers, Student Affairs Office, Convocation Office, Student Accounts Office, Student Information Systems, and many others. Member of the NGSIS Project Working Group developing a new student information system. Central to my role was to advocate for the highest possible level of service to students through the use of technology, staff development, and the implementation of policies and procedures that reduce unnecessary bureaucracy. As Chair of the Initial Teacher Education Admission Committee was a strong advocate for the elimination of barriers for students not well represented in the teaching ranks.
