Vision Applications Engineer, (2000-2003) After three successful years as the Service Manager, I took on a project management position in the Vision Engineering group to coordinate, program, and install a custom package inspection system for Intel Corp. on site in Chandler, AZ. After completion of the project, I remained in the vision group providing applications support to the worldwide install base of 2D and 3D semiconductor vision inspection systems and to work with the optics and software developers to bring new applications to market. Technical Service Manager, (1997 to 2000), Having demonstrated my abilities with machines and customers as a Field Service Engineer, I accepted the position to manage the department. My responsibilities were to make sure the company’s customer base was provided with the resources and parts needed to ensure the proper operation of our equipment at the time of its installation and throughout its life cycle. This was accomplished by supporting and directing the worldwide field service team and working closely with the sales staff, engineering department, and network of representative organizations.

Consistently improved machine quality and operation by modifying designs and software as needed. Provided engineering support, documentation updates, customer and dealer training on those systems coupled to PC based vision inspection systems and CO2 and Yag laser modules. Supported other field service engineers, sales staff, foreign representatives and customers throughout the world. Interviewed new service engineers, helped with new product development, and researched customer inquiries.

Responsibilities involved calibration, set up, and repair of nondestructive test instruments, furnace and waste treatment process control devices, leak testers, and their accompanying PLC and relay controlled material handling equipment. Other duties included photographic and instrumentation support at the ballistics test firing range, along with preparation and evaluation of metallurgical samples.
