FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurization) Area Manager 2010 to present  Promoted to this position based on leadership ability in previous role. Manage a team of 10 people (5 operators, 4 mechanics, 2 full time contract labor).  Area budgeting is ~$5 million per year plus annual CapEx projects of ~$250k. Responsibilities include lime delivery, gypsum production, permit compliance, budgeting, and O&M.  Successfully managed safely with zero employee Lost Time Incidents and zero environmental exceedances. International Projects:• Provided R&D for a German Supplier to optimize the nozzle design for the $250k mist eliminator (FGD) upgrade project. This project required 8 trips. (12//10 to11/12)• Researched the operations of a Pressurized Fluidized Boiler for business development due diligence. Beaver Valley 2006• AES OPGC, India. Volunteered to help during a major overhaul outage. Provided oversight on QA/QC of contractor safety practices and best practice sharing. (2/12 to 3/12)• AES Merida, Mexico. Selected for a Turbine Failure Root Cause Analysis team that developed potential root causes and follow-up actions for a CCGT failure. (2/10)
