Mission Statement of GLBRC: The Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center will conduct basic, genomics-based research to design the microbial and plant systems needed to realize the potential of biofuels.Combining innovative science, a critical mass of natural assets and the corporate horsepower to build and advance a new bioenergy economy, the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center will become a worldwide center of excellence for research and development of cellulosic ethanol and other bioenergy products.In support of this vision, GLBRC activities will be led by experts in plant biology, microbiology, molecular or cell biology, biochemistry, protein design, engineering, computer sciences, systems analysis, and ecology.Responsibilities:• Helped initiating projects related to production pipelines and created project charters• Created Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), network diagrams and project schedules• Analyzed and controlled scope, schedule and budget according to set project baselines• Analyzed risks, developed risk-mitigation strategies and change management plans• Gained experience in negotiating with stakeholders and customers• Procured equipment and other resources related to biofuel research projects• Coordinated management of GLBRC feedstock biomass analyses and communicated results• Coordinated, managed and supported GLBRC hydrolysate analytical pipelines andcommunicated results• Participated in preparing written reports to Administrative Team (done quarterly or as needed)on feedstock and hydrolysate analytical pipeline issues and/or progress• Worked with the GLBRC Metabolomics facility to provide support services and data analysis• Collaborated and coordinated with GLBRC research project leaders to implement assays thataddress hydrolysate research questions

As a computer technician at the Management Information Office (MIO) of UW Oshkosh, I troubleshot software and network related problems, set up work stations for conferences, helped with maintenance of hardware, and helped with training new recruits to MIO (training presentations).

I worked as a graduate assistant for the College of Business Administration at UW Oshkosh. My duties included finding research articles, finding information/data on research topics, summarizing books and articles, proctoring exams, help with IT related issues, etc.

My thesis was based on finding effective methods to purify a Cu containing photosynthetic protein- Plastocyanin- in high yields with an intact Cu center. In the process, I also gained experience in different techniques such as FPLC, HPLC, cloning, mutagenesis, etc.
