Worked on the SULE program, an inline link encryptor for a UAV. Also provided support for an intranet web site to allow mining of data from machines used to produce printed circuits and for the Sypris Data Systems M900 baseband data recorder. Was previously the Software architect and lead on the NSA supported QUANTUM program, a type 1 crypto device based on the Xilinx Artix FPGA and its dual lockstep MicroBlaze microprocessor. The QUANTUM project resulted in what is believed to be the only successful interface to KMI functionality from inside the INFOSEC boundary of a type 1 crypto device in the industry. Was also a high contributing team member on 2 assignments involving encryption on ARM-based ASICs (Sierra II and MYK-185). Full life cycle development in the c language based on OO designs. Was a principal participant in SV testing of CEC, one of the 3 projects. Was also a major contributor to the transformation of CEC from a status of behind schedule and underperforming to one of on time, within budget, and enthusiastically received by the customer and the NSA. Was a primary architect of the unit testing approach to be used on SECM, the second of the projects. This approach used industry best practices, Unity for basic test management and execution and CMock for stub creation and control. Was also an assessment team member during a CMMI assessment, the primary architect of a formal and successful “Lunch’n’Learn” cross training program, and a highly successful one-on-one mentor of other software engineers.
