Assistant det cmdr of a Special Forces Operational Detachment (SFODA) that is trained and equipped to conduct Special Operations throughout the entire spectrum of conflict. Advises the Detachment Commander on Special Reconnaissance , Intelligence Collection, Logistical, and Security Operations. Ensures the ODA is trained and resourced to conduct the peacetime and wartime missions of Unconventional Warfare, Special Reconnaissance, Direct Action, Foreign Internal Defense, and other Special Forces Collateral Activities. Conduct Operations in support of Combatant Commanders of USSOUTHCOM and USCENTCOM in support of the Global War on Terror. Trains, advises, and assists indigenous forces up to Battalion size in the Spanish language.

As the Senior Engineer Sergeant for a Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (SFODA) with a Special Reconnaissance Mission set; plans and conducts Foreign Internal Defense, Unconventional Warfare, and Direct Action in support of SOUTHCOM and CENTCOM objectives; advises Commander on all engineering and demolition matters;trains and supervises detachment members in construction and demolition techniques; trains and leads foreign light infantry units up to Battalion size; maintains detachment equipment valued over $400,000; instructs in the English and Spanish languages.

Responsible for a nine-man Fire Support team capable of deploying worldwide within 9 hours to conduct Special Military Operations; plans, coordinates, and synchronizes mortars, artillery, naval gunfire, and rotary and fixed wing close air support in support of Company and Battalion level operations; also responsible for ensuring all assigned soldiers are trained to call for and adjust for all special operations fire support assets.
