As a software consultant I was instrumental in delivering on a large and complex project that involved the mapping of information flows and data acquisition through a large food processing facility using Microsoft Visio 2013. I was part of a team that evaluated and recommended third-party field ticket entry and reporting software for a pipeline construction company. I helped document the payroll module of another pipeline construction company’s custom software developed by Entrance. I worked in an Agile / Scrum project environment. I studied for and passed the first of three tests (70-461 Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012) to obtain a Microsoft MCSE: Data Platform certification in SQL Server. I also attended the Windows Azure Microsoft Developer Camp for hands-on learning of the skills needed for deploying Cloud Services in Windows Azure.

Company develops SaaS-based software for complete procure-to-pay business process automation including supplier on-boarding, on-demand bid management, reverse auctions and second tier minority spend analysis and reporting written in ASP.Net and C# with a Microsoft SQL Server backend along with other applications written in different technologies. Enhanced clients’ applications by merging features from other existing clients. Member of development team responsible for merging multiple customized client applications into a single code base to provide a customizable off-the-shelf cloud-based SaaS application. Integrated sourcing application with contract management system using ASP.Net API calls. Integrated U.S. Department of the Treasury OFAC (Specially Designated Nationals) security checks into supplier registration process using RESTful JSON calls to a custom internal web service. Transitioned to an Agile project development environment from a purely waterfall process. Learning test-driven development through shared online courses. Company developed Credit Risk software for the energy trading market. Project leader for successful enhancements to one client's existing software installation. Project consisted of extensive on-site requirements gathering, design analysis and documentation, program development and implementation. Project was delivered on time and on budget (approx. $400K). Assisted with upgrade of product to client-server model using ASP.Net 3.5, C# and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. Developed and documented an extensive denormalized reporting database for major oil and gas client. Created numerous SQL stored procedures based on this database for SSRS reports. Project lead for another client's upgrade to new software version, including data tie-outs, software installation and user training. Analyzed and optimized existing SQL stored procedures for faster, less resource-intensive operation.
