Manage Power, Control, and Information Systems capital projects from initial concept through scope development, funding, design, construction, verification, and startup.Project management includes partnering with operations, and managing a team of designers, programmers, construction management resources, construction contractors, safety resources, and commissioning resources. Project scope typically includes replacement of safety controller(s), network components, field devices, and natural gas piping and valves.Paper machine drive system upgrades utilizing A-B Controllogix controller, and PowerFlex AC and/or DC drives. Up to 20 drives totaling 7000hp integrated via ethernet/ip to ControlLogix enabling coordinated speed and torque control.Power Distribution System upgrades including 13.2kv breakers, cabling and switches, installation of 2000 -2500 kva low voltage and medium voltage substations, A-B Intellicenter MCCs with e300 relays, and associated control wiring, networking and programming.Maintain and prioritize controls technology obsolescence plan for Process Module.Develop training plans to develop technical mastery, and coach new Controls Engineers through initial projects.Site System owner of engineering/project management work process. Lead continuous improvement, and qualification of new engineers.

Manage Pack system upgrade projects for bath tissue, and paper towel packing lines. Projects included scope development, estimating/funding, design, programming, modeling, equipment specification and procurement, installation, verification, and integration with upstream/downstream unit operations.Each packing system typically included integration, via ControlLogix PLC, of conveyors, diverters, laners, elevators, wrappers, baggers, and case packers. Recipe control was utilized to set speeds and functionality for each product format.
