Founded Energy Mentors, a 501(c)3 public charity, to catalyze a rising generation of Energy Professionals. Here are our accomplishments:1. Power the Community - an International Design Competition. Our inaugural 2024 competition awarded $US 31,000 pool prize to four winning teams who reimagined the energy infrastructure behind communities of 2,000 families in Zimbabwe, India, the island-nation of Dominica, and the city of Houston. Responsibilities: wrote competition premise, commissioned website and promotions, solicited funding and five independent judges, provided participant support, created submission process, organized judging cycle, distributed awards, and performed lessons learned. Rolling out 2025 competition.2. International Energy Internship program with the @India Institute of Technology - Ropar. Ninety students from across South Asia and Africa completed the program in 2024, taking on the challenges of various distributed energy system designs. In 2025, forty-five students are attacking the rendering of economic use cases for hydrogen fuel. 3. Provide virtual and on-campus energy mentoring and career advice sessions.

Since 2009 have led a global process team functionally responsible for process design, safety engineering, conceptual engineering, and facilities layout for major upstream projects. Since 2016 the group has also supported process engineering and HAZOPs for upstream producing assets. Responsibilities include ownership of the Risk Assessment and Management System for major capital projects and steward of the Define Toolkit. Cofounded the ExxonMobil Layout Center of Excellence with ExxonMobil Research and Engineering and the corporation's Cryogenics Center of Excellence with ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company.

Responsibilities included leading technical definition to support venture screening and tendering to develop the West Qurna oil field (Iraq) and front end definition and execution planning for a potential gas sale project from Chayvo field, Sakhalin Island, Russian Federation.

Responsible for Pre-FEED technical definition, Early Execution Plan, Lump Sum FEED contracting bidding to 5 international contractors, FEED award, process license bidding and award, Gate 2 cost estimate, Gate 2 passage, FEED kick-off, and transition to execution project manager.

Engineering Manager and lead company representative resident in PreFEED contractor's office with responsibility for technical definition and front end execution planning for a proposed 140,000 barrel per day gas to liquids (GTL) project. Scope responsibility included: gas processing and pretreatment, site development, and utilities and offsites.

Project Manager in PreFEED for an international gas project with scope of 1,500 Mscfd feed gas, acid gas removal and sulfur production, and NGL recovery. Responsible included: front end execution planning, technical definition, and cost and schedule estimates.

Engineering Manager and company authorized representative in Russian Design Institute VNIPIneft, responsible for engineering execution and equipment / materials procurement for: site prep and undergrounds, piperacks, and utilities and offsites (e.g., slugcather, oil storage and pumping, flare, buildings) for the Chayvo Onshore Process Facility.

Engineering Manager resident in EPC contractor's office with responsibility for engineering and procurement execution for the Chayvo Onshore Process Facility, Sakhalin 1 Project, Russian Federation.

Lead company representative in contractor's office and FEED manager for the Banyu Urip Oil Development. Within 9 months of field discovery at year end 2000: developed and issued the field "Plan of Development" to Indonesian oil and gas regulator plus 4 lump sum tenders to EPC contractors: offshore pipeline and Floating Storage and Offtake; onshore pipeline; Banyu Urip oil field surface facilities and central processing plant including water flood and gas injection facilities; and an early production system.
