I am a positive, experienced RN/HR professional that loves to help others. Let me tell you my story.My degree is in Nursing and as a Registered Nurse I have experience as a Charge Nurse at a rural hospital, Director of Nursing Services and Nurse Consultant. I often found that many of the issues were not clinical; rather the issues stemmed from poor training programs or lack of feedback from their supervisor. I found my passion is helping others become competent and caring employees which ultimately provides positive outcomes for the customer and company. Once I found this passion, I served the next 18 years in a Corporate Human Resources Department.I worked briefly for U. S. Bank Service Center as the HR Business Partner and loved the people and environment; however, my elderly mother required intermittent care throughout the day so I made the "right" decison and resigned my position to make my mother the priority. I have taken care of my mother for the past 2+ years and she has recently passed away which leaves me open to new opportunities. In caring for my mom My passion for direct care was rekindled. I get energized when I can make life a little better for someone through direct care. I also enjoy developing and implementing plans which results in improvements in the company HR and financial metrics. I believe the key to success for a company is dependent on having well prepared and engaged leaders at all levels of the company.I have consulted with nursing homes, home health, hospice, and services at home agencies from Hawaii to Florida for the past 20 years. I have had many opportunities to provide training for groups of 3 to 100 on HR topics, company initiatives and new regulations. I like to have fun and "GETTING THINGS DONE" is FUN to me! I especially enjoy walking, golfing, and hitting/catching a softball!My motto is: Don't forget to make somebody SMILE today!
