Michael J. (Mike) Donahue is as a business advisor, board director and operator with technology, media and financial firms. He advises business managers on strategy, growth, technology, and cost-effectiveness. He has deep operating experience and brings a strong network of experienced professionals to help executives find solutions for their companies. Mike is an active independent board director who has served on 21 boards over the past 25 years, presently including: WSFS (NASDAQ: WSFS), a banking and financial services provider; SiteSpect, a Boston-based maker of software for marketing testing and personalization; Gluware, a Silicon Valley network automation and orchestration software provider; and Symphonic, a music distribution technology company which links creators with consumers.Previously Mike served on the boards of Air Products (NYSE: APD) an international leader in gases and performance materials; KPMG, the global accounting and consulting firm; GSI Commerce (FANATICS; NASDAQ: GSIC); an online retailer and gaming site operator; Beneficial (NASDAQ: BNCL) a financial firm (acquired by WSFS); Expensewatch, a software company (acquired by Bezos Expeditions); Liquidhub, a technology integrator (acquired by CapGemini); Mobiquity, a mobile app builder and IT services firm (acquired by Hexaware); Quintiq, a Dutch supply chain software maker (acquired by Dassault Systèmes); and Xtify, a cloud messaging provider (acquired by IBM). From 2007 - 2015, Mike and the management of The Orchard transformed digital music distribution. He served as chairman, director and technology advisor, helping to deploy a scalable, self-service tech platform to support the shift to high volume streaming. Sony Music acquired The Orchard in 2015, positioning it as its $1+ billion revenue global independent music division. Donahue spent 21 years in leadership roles at KPMG Consulting. He was Global Chief Operating Officer of KPMG Consulting, Inc. (renamed BearingPoint) from 2000 - 2005 and managed its $2.8 billion IPO. Prior to that, he was Group EVP, Europe, Middle East and Africa; board director of KPMG LLP (US); Chairman of KPMG Consulting KK (Japan); and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KPMG Consulting AG (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). Mike is independent from KPMG under SEC rules.Mike graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in economics and history and completed the IMP program at the Wharton School. He began his career as a research associate in economic forecasting at the US Federal Reserve Bank.
