Supports improvement, maintenance, and creation of new processes for Security effectiveness in equipment reliability, maintenance, innovation, and life cycle management, as a member of the Nuclear Security Technology group. Provides operational technical insights to stakeholders regarding Security systems solutions being deployed within the fleet environment. Monitors and maintains fundamental Security system operations, initiatives, and projects. Support projects, planning, maintenance and operations. Consults with leadership, projectteams, application/service support teams and end users to support availability and perform feasibility analysis on potential changes related to security systems. Provide technical expertise for maintaining performance and reliability of key IT solutions. Work closely with peers to develop future improvement plans, resource requirements, migration strategies, and project schedules. Understand other technologies and service offerings and their impact to the delivery of hardware and virtual services (VMWare/Hyper-V). Provide evaluation, testing, lab, and mockup solutions as needed. Serve as a resource in assigned daily support and deployments to operations and ensure solutions meet business requirements and operational metrics (SLA’s). Responsible for operating and maintaining solutions at the component level, including hands-on configuration, troubleshooting and metrics for hardware and virtual services. Provide feedback to peers for risks identified during business impact analysis, site risk assessments and disaster recovery planning. Completes job work packages to facilitate preventative maintenance ensuring all steps are tracked and accounted for providing documents for Nuclear Regulatory Commission review.

Provides technical expertise relative to desktop, server, network infrastructure, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, O365, and applications. Analyze issues and formulate effective solutions. Provides technical support, user training, phone support, on-site services as well as remote support. Works collaboratively with management implementing, configuring, and maintaining security and software that includes VPN, Windows Endpoint Protection and security patches for all hardware. Technical support includes install, configuration, and maintenance of network printers, software, data backups, and phone system. Identify and resolve issues relating to hardware/software support, troubleshooting PC, server, and printer problems and perform computer upgrades. On-call technical support for entire site after hours. Conducts server monitoring/maintenance. Install OS patches and repair malfunctioning servers/application systems. Maintain documentation of networking environment and inventory to all network attached devices. Support/organize the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) closets following proper standards and procedures as changes and expansions occurs. Contact vendors and conducts walk-throughs to create wiring quotes for data drops. Install network switches to replace existing or expand capacity. Project lead for OS upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
