I served as a Manufacturing Leader of the non-exempt union workforce for the OEM and Aftermarket production operations, where I had supervised as many as 35 employees at any one time across four functional subsections. My achievements include:Meeting or exceeding ops plan by 5% annually and realizing a 7% average increase in productivity through cross-training, employee empowerment and teaming. Prior to becoming the Manufacturing Leader, I served GE as their Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer for the MSE group. As the Lead Engineer, I supervised the activities of eight engineers where we maintained production test equipment, incorporated upgrades and ensured AS-9100 certification compliance. Additional activities include troubleshooting product failures and equipment anomalies.A few career highlights include:Responsible for a paradigm shift in GE’s aftermarket business model by redefining the fielded-product repair guidelines which eliminated the cosmetic repair function, increased throughput capacity and improved turn-around-time, resulting in an estimated 15% increase in average on-time delivery.Developed the business case to upgrade GE’s production-testing, monitoring and data retention system from manual based to an automated PC-based system. After acquiring the necessary approvals I led the team to successful integration of the new system onto 36 production test chambers without impacting daily production.

Staff Operations Manager for A2LA Accredited ESTL-I and ESTL-FS test laboratories as well as Account Manager for business-to-business sales of automated inline production test equipment. I was responsible for profit & loss, capital budget and sales, as well as providing custom testing services and employee development. I recruited, supervised and evaluated technical and administrative staff. Developed marketing related literature and sales forecasts. Among my accomplishments:Negotiating “milk-run” style contracts with automotive Tier 1 suppliers to provide component-level testing services.Increased ESTL-1's testing capabilities to include low-cost, large volume, thermal/humidity services for Tier-1 suppliers in the automotive industry, providing 24/7 (365) service and convenience which greatly enhanced EST's footprint in the region.
