Help in the development of the new Corporate Entertainment Finance team, as well as developing the budgeting process for the entire entertainment division. Produce and analyze weekly/monthly labor reports that span all departments of the property. Accurately create the DOR (Daily Operating Report) and distribute it to property and corporate executives. Identify large variances between budgeted and actual revenue/expenses for each department. Assisted in all end of month (EOM) tasks including labor reports, reconciliations and participated in Financial Review meetings. Assisted with annual property wide budgeting that includes the creation, auditing, review and analysis of various reports. Use Cognos Finance to complete requested ad hoc reports. • Analyzed labor trends to reduce staff in various support departments which resulted in a $225,617 labor savings in 2015.• Supported the transition of Starbucks pricing to be consistent across all MGM properties, increasing revenue by $9,750.• Monitored the profitability of entertainment in all Food and Beverage outlets generating a savings of $43,392.• Led the analysis of the closure of a poor performing restaurant and the transition of its employees into different roles on property. This resulted in a $380,000 increase in EBITDA. • Analyzed sales by hour for the Food and Beverage department to determine meal periods with the most growth opportunity.• Assisted in the implementation and monitoring of the Profit Growth Plan with over 130 recommendations. • Responsible for tracking and implementing the expansion of Portable Lobby Bar hours of operations across the property, which resulted in a $52,260 increase in revenue.• Participated in the Corporate R2 (Required Results) analysis of both the Employee Dining Room and Garde Mange departments to target inefficiencies and implement new best practices.
