I worked within the healthcare facility to study, plan, design, implement, and evaluate educational curricula that better prepared our clinicians to demonstrate competency when providing healthcare services to our patients. I also provided nursing orientation for all new incoming nurses and certified nursing aides to ensure continuity in our culture and methods of providing care at our facility. I took great pride in my work, and was always looking for ways to improve processes. While in this role, I was honored as “Employee of the Month”.

This role required me to directly manage four individuals. My duties included the formation of a Clinical Documentation Improvement program for the hospital, hiring, training, and management the CDI nurse. I also hired, trained, and managed the Utilization Review program. My final management duties were to the Nurse Informaticist and Clinical Informaticist.
