I initially gained professional experience working on telecommunication designs as well as utility relocation projects as a CAD Technician. I then moved on to work with the Engineering Department, as an assistant Project Manager and an OSP Design Engineer. I then moved my role as the lead OSP Relocation Engineer for Express-Technologies, managing and designing the telecommunication relocation projects for the company. I transition to Rinker Design Assoc. and served as a Utility Coordinator within their Transportation Department. In this role, I assisted with utility relocation coordination, relocation design and plan approval for road improvement projects. I also gain some experience with site design from a utility perspective. I eventually moved on and now serve as Utility Coordinator for the Northern Virginia District with Virginia Department of Transportation. In this role I coordinate utility relocations in accordance with VDOT requirements including plan reviews and conflict analyses, cost determinations (VDOT UT-9 methodology), holding UFI meetings, obtaining utility easements, coordination of utility relocations, and review of utility plan & estimates.
