In September of 2010, Don launched his second business, Consol Giving LLC, and as its principal, consults with and advises organizations who want to maximize the power of regular giving for their respective causes. Consol Giving’s vision is to help the world’s leading humanitarian, development and environmental organizations to protect and grow their investments into monthly giving.Previously, Don worked with UNHCR's and UNICEF’s private sector fundraising divisions, advising, supporting and helping to grow their national fundraising programs in North America, east Asia, and Europe in particular.At UNICEF, Don was most recently responsible for providing holistic support to UNICEF's monthly giving ("pledge") fundraising programs globally, and strategic and tactical guidance to UNICEF's drive to increase regular giving income. As a consultant to UNICEF, Don continues to develop and share global best practices on all aspects of regular giving, and increasing -- through analysis and testing -- the key drivers of successful pledge donor development.Over the past eight years, Don has also provided cutting-edge fundraising and campaigning advice and support to some of UNICEF’s biggest National Committees, including the Japan, Korean and Hong Kong National Committees; UNICEF’s five Nordic National Committees; its National Committees in the USA and Canada; and UNICEF's Country Office in South Africa.Don's personal goal is to also help other international, non-governmental and national fundraising organizations to maximize and optimize their regular giving programs targetted at individual donors.Don has a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.Specialties: Private Sector Fundraising, particularly from individuals via direct marketing, for International Organizations; Regular / monthly donor acquisition, retention and value-maximization; Telephone fundraising; Direct Dialogue fundraising; Digital fundraising; and Corporate and Major Gift fundraising.
