Brookstone Schools offer an opportunity for parents who want a choice in how they educate their children, but are unable to afford a private Christian education. Our students learn not only facts, but how to use this knowledge in all aspects of their lives. They learning to be polite, mature, disciplined scholars, and leaders who live in accordance with Judeo-Christian values. Brookstone is a non-denominational Christian school with over 110 students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Eighty-eight percent of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch program. 2013-14 annual budget was over $1 million. Only 7% of this budget was raised from student tuition and fees which means we had to raise $1 million for operations. In 2013, we raised close to $1.4million. This is raised through donations from individual supporters, churches, and foundations.I served as Head of School for Brookstone which included the duties of a Principal, Business Manager, Admissions Director, Facilities Manager, H/R, and IT Director. During tenure, school increase student population by 50% and school funding grew almost 100%. Teacher longevity doubled and the school added 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

• As Superintendent of RBCS, was responsible for 130 employees and 760 students in 3 schools• A collaborative leader who believes in team building: leading design and implementation of new policies and procedures to increase operational efficiency and improve academic environment• Developed and currently implementing 5-year strategic plan for RBCS. Adopted by board. Facility and academic improvements were aligned with long-term goals and mission statement• Managed a $4.5 million school budget. Increased annual development income by $200,000, improved starting salaries by $5,000 in one year, increased average teacher compensation by $5,000, and established health benefits while eliminating $500,000 of operational debt• Implemented a budget-based financial system for RBCS and Brookstone Schools. School can now track spending and produce accurate financial reports. Completed first school audit in 34 years• Building new relationships. Projecting a positive image of RBCS into the community • Committed to strengthening academic program while growing a strong Biblical foundation. Directing a comprehensive curriculum mapping project• Improved classroom environment and athletic facilities. Innovative planning created seven new classrooms. In the process of turning a unairconditioned warehouse gym into a first class gym• Developed comprehensive master plan for future development of facilities • Overhauled personnel system. Restructured hiring, contracting, and promotion system for teachers based upon experience, education, and performance• Prepared and led RBCS through reaccreditation process; team impressed with changes• Developing a worldview tool for measuring student learning and teacher performance
