From October 2013 until October 2014 I provided Management and Technical support on a consultancy basis. A summary of the positions supported are:Technical Manager: May 2014 - October 2014Heading up a project to develop an entirely new methodology of measuring downhole Pressure and Temperature during frac-ing operations. When completed, this will bring significant time/cost savings to clients.Regional Manager – Americas: November 2013 – May 2014 Provision of Managing Director support to a Canadian based manufacturer and service provider of Permanent Monitoring systems for oil and gas well completions. The business was without an MD, and I provided this function until a permanent MD was recruited and installed in the role. The role was based in Calgary.The key focus areas during this assignment was:• Provide stability and leadership to the organisation through a period of change of business ownership and a change of local management team, with a key objective of avoiding staff attrition.• Drive process improvements in QHSE, to improve client perception of the service received.• Review and update engineering and manufacturing systems to eliminate waste.• Provide support for the recruitment of a permanent candidate for the MD role, by undertaking assessment and interview of prospective candidates.

Setup and led the spin out of the cased hole product line from within READ Well Services, to successfully establish a new legal entity, READ Cased Hole, providing high quality downhole well assurance services to the industry.In this role, responsible for:• Setting Strategy, Vision and Direction for the business, to deliver value to all stakeholders – clients, employees and owners.• Building and maintaining a culture that supports delivery of the strategic vision• Team building and ensuring the business has the correct people in the correct positions to support business growth.• Setting appropriate values for the organisation.• Capital Allocation - Setting budgets and ensuring proper management of company resources.

Established a Norwegian based consultancy business, providing Quality and Risk Management to the Oil & Gas Industry. A 1 year contract was secured with Statoil. Qualified as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.In this role responsible for:• QA auditing of suppliers• Tender evaluation• Risk monitoring and management.• Implementation of QA and Risk Management systems within different project teams• Coaching teams in use of QA and Risk management tools

Managing a team of 15 people, comprising Operations and Admin Staff.• Managing all aspects of day-day business in Norway• Key accountabilities – Operations management, Staffing, Training and Recruitment, Business Development, Sales and Financial control• Supporting operations on site as required• Interfacing with Finance / Business development functions of wider group to achieve business objective

In this role responsible for:• Running the full range of open hole / formation evaluation services.• Running the full range of cased hole / production logging services.• Running full range of MWD/LWD services• Running full range of VSP services• Managing Scandinavian VSP servicesThrough exposure to an usually varied cross section of services I have built up a strong understanding of the Exploration, Drilling, Formation Evaluation, and Well Interventions sectors, with exposure to Completions and Well Construction.
