35 years’ experience in oil and gas exploration and production, the majority of which have been in project management of the verification or certification of the design, construction and operation of onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities and pipelines. Other project management experience includes pipeline design, on-stream inspection of pipework in refineries, line pipe production in pipe mills and electrical testing.11 years’ experience in steel making, rolling, wire-drawing, pipe making, heat-treatment, steel works construction and during the investigation of component and equipment failures.Experience in quality management systems, involving aspects such as goods-inwards and in-process quality control, quality engineering, project quality management and managing the quality assurance services department at a consultant engineer. Other experience includes development and implementation of quality management systems for service and construction industries, external and internal auditing of quality systems and development and presentation of training in the principles and practice of quality management.
