My current role involves project and staff management, budgetary control and client liaison alongside the provision of transport planning advice. Recent projects have included Transport Assessments and Travel Plans for a number of hotels across the UK for a major chain developing its three-star-tier offer, and secondary and primary school redevelopment on existing sites in the west of Scotland.

I have gained significant experience across a wide range of projects, preparing Transport Assessments and Transport Statements across several commercial and other sectors. I have been involved several Masterplanning processes, including University of West of Scotland Ayr Campus and HIE Inverness Campus. I have recently been involved in the preparation of Transport Assessments in support of a number of wind farm developments including the National Offshore Wind Turbine Test Facility at Hunterston, and in surveying and assessing abnormal load delivery routes.I identified and developed the role of Public Transport Specialist within the Scottish Transportation Division through a wide network of contacts with Operators and Councils which has been particularly beneficial in influencing the rerouting and promotion of bus services in line with the objectives of policy and to the benefit of scheme proposals and future occupiers. I have held a PCV licence since 1986. I also provides specialist advice on goods vehicle activities, which has included advising on the benefits of timber haul routes on Arran and providing alternative access solutions for remediation of colliery spoil in central Scotland.
