Managed all US Dollar Accounts Payable and Payroll activities for TOD’s North American and Mexican Operations, supervising a staff of five. Supervised the completion and reviewed all required internal control questionnaires ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Successfully developed and performed all monthly transactions and reporting for a new distribution unit with approx. $24 million in sales. Identified and collected payment errors of approx. $100K/year by performing monthly reviews of overseas freight bills paid by third party freight payer.

Supervised the maintenance and preparation of all Financial Statements of four US General Ledgers including three for maquiladoras, while supervising as many as six people. Enabled the executive team to anticipate future needs by providing monthly 3-month forward forecasts of financial results for four manufacturing operations as well as bridging forecasts to actual results. Oversaw the annual budgeting and forecasting preparations for the manufacturing operations of $80-100 million ensuring an accurate standard cost basis. Trained and developed in depth knowledge of US GAAP and cost accounting functions to Mexican Controllers. Managed shipping and receiving operations in the El Paso facility, through which all $80 million in sales flowed during my last year, maintaining strong on-time deliveries .

Planned, supervised, audited and wrote reports for audits of Emerson locations throughout the US. Authored new audit procedures as well as internal control questionnaires which created standardization for the internal audit department. Selected by management to complete an international audit of an Emerson Sales office in Switzerland eliminating the need for hiring an outside auditor. Created and staffed a new remote audit; This location allowed the department to greatly reduce travel costs.
