My research specialty is the law of the People's Republic of China. Within that field, I specialize in (1) corporate law, and (2) problems of legal institutions in general - e.g., the court system, enforcement of judgments, and basic principles and political role of the legal system.I have often provided expert witness testimony in US litigation on various aspects of the Chinese legal system. I also have particular expertise and experience in issues relating to (a) forum non conveniens motions seeking dismissal to China, and (b) the recognition and enforcement of Chinese judgments.
