Worked on creating a generic instrumentation communication simulator. The simulator can act as the firmware communications end point to our instrumentation software using serial, TCP/IP, can bus communications.The user is able to simulate the necessary situations in which the communications may act on a real instrument, thus testing the redundancy of the application in which is being developed for that instrument, making sure that the application is able to react based on success or failures of the communications. The simulator also was allowing the application software to be able to run in a simulated mode. We implemented a "planned" execution of specific successive commands, so that the application software could react accordingly.

My work here involed working along side top secret government contracting projects for the DOD, CIA, Air Force, and Army branches. Most of the work that Tiger Innovations does is small-sat/cube-sat communication busses and equipment. I was assigned a few tasks that involved enhancing these projects' features such as finding discrepancies and errors within back-end embedded TCL/TK code that run thousands of data point tests on satellite ground station equipment titled StreamLINK. I designed and implemented TCL code to add test procedures and test beds for satellite payload equipment currently in low-earth orbit. I also helped design, develop, and assemble satellite hardware as well as terrestrial projects and research. My last project included using GNU radio framework in Python to record and decode real-time TPMS signals for a joint project with the CIA.

At Arrow Electronics, I worked in the Sustaining Engineering group. Located at Arrow's Phoenix, Arizona integration, sales, and warehouse location. I was a team leader overseeing the development and ongoing manufacturing of custom PC solutions tailored for each client. My primary job was to make sure build plans were up to date and made with extreme precision to technical specs for the client for manufacturing. Other responsibilities included creating and testing build plans for new products. This included building, installing of software, burn-in testing, and packaging, for the new product. I also collaborated with 5 other new engineers at other remote locations for a competitive project. Our goal was for the consolidation of Arrow's electronics recycling/end-of-life product companies that Arrow had acquired with-in the last 3 years. We ended up winning the competition and our plan that has a potential savings of 3 million dollars per year will go into effect in 2014.
