Responsible for ensuring AOL.com meets AOL’s Accessibility Requirements (A subset of WCAG 1) thus ensuring all of AOL’s members and employees, including those who have disabilities or impairments, have equal access to the content provided. Also consulted with Netscape, Compuserve, Time, MapQuest, AOL UK and others on various Accessibility issues.Developed and delivered training programs for both Quality Management Engineers and Software Engineers covering how to test and how to deliver accessible websites. Also provided training on how to use and deploy various assistive technologies including but not limited to Jaws, WindowEyes, Zoomtext and Dragon Naturally Speaking and others.Accessibility Architect on many projects including AOL’s Accessible Webmail, Instant Message, Audio Challenge, an accessible audio alternative for the CAPTCHA Graphic Challenge, localized in five languages.Architected solution for accessible Ajax, making it possible for the Jaws screen reader to work seamlessly with pages using dynamic content delivered thru Ajax.Architected solutions for AOL UK in response to DDA complaint against CompuServe Forums.Implemented and managed the Worldspace Accessibility Validator at AOL and institutionalized its use throughout the company.Served on the Telecommunications and Electronic and Information Technology Advisory CommitteeTEI-TAC (Section 508 Refresh Committee). Served as member on the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Working Group on Guidelines 2 the next version of the Web Accessibility Standards Served as member on the W3C’s Accessible Rich Internet Applications Working Group (ARIA) developing the next generation solution to Web 2.0 accessibility.Served as Chair of the DHTML Style Guide, a sub group of the ARIA WG tasked with developing recommendations for ARIA keyboard shortcut keys. • Grew Contentra from 4 to 40 consultants in less than one year. Became a Global Consulting Partner with Vignette, Inc. Built offices in Reston, Texas, New York, and Manila in the Philippines. Successfully merged the company into NAME, Inc on Dec 29, 2000.• Served as CTO, Advisory Member of the Board, and Mentor for Consultants, Senior Web Architect/Developer, and Vignette Consulting Partner Manager.• Provided leadership on all IT related matters.• Provided Vignette Consulting services to architect and develop internet/intranet sites for such companies as Vignette Professional Services, Vignette Federal Sales, IBM, Crosswalk.com, Bankrate.com, Iwon.com, Navy, Lifescape.com, Travelya.com, Volando.com, BNA, NSF, and many others.

• Lead on all technical issues at Enews.com from startup to S1 filling. Created and managed a team of programmers to build their entire website, including catalogs, e-commerce modules, credit card readers, ad banner system, affiliate programs, co-branding, interface with fulfillment centers, etc.• Built and managed a team of 23 technical people, including DBAs, Programmers, and Software Engineers.• Responsible for all Technical Operations, Life Cycle Software Development, network design, network maintenance, and Database Operations.• Designed, installed and maintained Web site using Sun Enterprise class hardware and Vignette's StoryServer to deliver 1.5 million pages views per day.• Made instrumental presentations to Board, Venture Capital Groups and Investment Bankers.

• Responsible for maintenance of a legacy Wang VS 100 mini with an RF Backbone supporting 274 users, disaster recovery and vulnerability assessment. • Designed and implemented PC/Novel network to migrate the agency from Wang workstation environment to an Intranet/Internet Windows PC environment • As Deputy Director of the Office of Technology served as liaison to the Whitehouse and Congress on issues concerning Internet Technologies. • Designed many in-house database applications, including the Automated Panel Bank System and the Grants Management System. • Served as Contracts Representative on numerous Hardware and Software contracts. • Designed and implemented UNIX based Web Server with Internet connectivity.
