Assisting a Major Research Company modernizing the Technology Capability

Assisting start-up company in Milan Italy pursuing investment for its Artificial Intelligence product.

1. Developed the strategy and roadmap for a $900K project to transform the contact center operations for PHEAA, one of the four student loan processing companies in the United States. The project, once implemented, would improve borrower satisfaction and significantly decrease costs.2. As part of a larger team, leveraged my deep student loan experience to develop a $300M proposed solution for the Department of Education's RFP “Transforming the Student Loan Industry”. The response included omnichannel digital access, business process automation and custom development while focusing on business value versus technology products.

1. Client Manager for Marriott International providing multiple services over a five year period Valued at over $25M.2. At Freddie Mac, we provided Disaster Recovery services combining cloud services and traditional outsourcing services valued at $12M over four years. 3. Also at Freddie Mac, we provided ITSM service upgrades based on ServiceNow.4. At Fannie Mae, we outsourced Fannie Mae’s CIO Reporting Function leveraging Service Desk concepts. The project, valued at $10M over three years, was housed in a cordoned-off office space in the KPMG Tower.5. Client Manager for Sallie Mae (now Navient) where our team was contracted to get Sallie Mae compliant with FISMA standards in an extremely short timeframe. Sallie Mae, as a provider of Federal Student Loans, was found to be out of compliance and their business was in jeopardy. The CEO of Sallie Mae at that time was Al Lord, a person I had worked for directly during my time at Sallie Mae, and he personally was counting on me and my team to come through. We did, Al was happy and Sallie Mae continued on.6. Client Manager for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). My first visit to HUD was to visit Joy Hadley, Department Leader, to discuss an application that was being developed by a contractor out of Atlanta. I introduced myself and key team members and began explaining how we would be able to assist her when she broke in and said “Don’t tell me what you are going to do, you have thirty days to show me how you are fixing my problem or you are out of here”.We did just that, we came in and began correcting the issues she was experiencing and proved ourselves worthy of continued service. This initial effort was nearly all custom development and morphed into subsequent services that my previous team is still working on with Joy at HUD today.

I managed all application development and maintenance for the company and managed the companies Data Center. Responsible for over 400 employees and $500M operating budget.
