As a Senior Product Engineer I represented the voice of the customer and market by advocating for product enhancements as well as new adjacencies. Worked across the organization to train sales, marketing, support, etc. and launch the release. Responded to advanced product questions and implementation design strategies especially for our largest accounts.During this time, some of my market research, partnering with sales and marketing colleagues, took us to a new market entrance into Privileged Access Management and Identity & Access Management. Through existing customer interviews, analysts (Forrester, Gartner, etc.), competitive analysis, and win/loss programs, we developed a strategy to use the knowledge we had gained developing a secure remote access solution and purpose build a product designed for the Privileged Access Management space. We developed the strategy, requirements, and worked across the organization to build a launch a standalone offering in less than 9 months. Within 2 months it had already received industry accolades and carved a niche. By the end of 2015, it achieved aggressive bookings goals for its first year.I also built the operational and financial models as well as business plan for Bomgar's new Cloud offering. The initiative included market and competitive research, work with our board/investors, and investigating / selecting the partner we would use for hosting. The financial model proved extremely accurate and the Cloud offering ultimately generated more than 200% of the board's revenue targets for 2015.Research included attending Gartner's IAM conference in Las Vegas.My other responsibilities and accomplishments included:- Initiated win/loss program- Developed more formal PM customer engagement program- Responsible for product enhancements for multiple releases of Bomgar's flagship product per year- Initiated new, more in depth market research programs resulting in faster time to market and better customer reception.
