TEDAC is a whole of government facility whose mission is to directly contribute to the eradication of the improvised explosives device (IED) threat through forensic and technical exploitation of devices. As the Deputy Director, was responsible for the strategic planning, administration, financial management (planning and execution), program management and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the multi-agency partnered facility. As the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) was responsible for overseeing over 130 employees who conduct all criminal and regulatory enforcement activity pertaining to issues under ATF’s jurisdiction in Ohio and the southern half of Indiana. I spent six months of the Fellowship is spent in residence at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. During this time I participated in teaching leadership lessons to current NA students. I was provided the opportunity to be the lead instructor for "Leadership for Counter-Terrorism" I also designed leadership lessons and provided these to state, local and international students. I also traveled to different locations, to include Budapest, Hungary; Chicago, IL and Baltimore, MD to conduct trainings to state, local and International officers. I also attended the Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (LEEDS) and participated in the National Executive Institute (NEI) training class. The experience provided me valuable information on my own leadership styles, but gave me priceless information on leading my employees. The relationship I have fostered will benefit not only me, but the agency as a whole. In the 13 years that the fellowship had been offered, I was the first and only Federal Agent ever asked to be a part of the program
