Responsible for the training, morale and welfare of a 39-man Rifle Platoon. Develop, implement and supervise individual and collective training to prepare teams and squads to win on the battlefield. Train subordinate leaders to be proficient and develop them to take on increased levels of responsibility. Plan and execute platoon level missions during full spectrum combat operations. Planned and lead over 150 combat patrols resulting in no casualties and accomplishment of the mission. Accountable for the maintenance and operational readiness of over $7,000,000 of platoon equipment. Planned and executed convoy live fire exercise resulting in platoon being recognized as the number 1 platoon out of 12.

I spent the majority of my 2nd Lieutenant time in the school pipeline for Infantry officers. This includes: The Infantry Officer Basic Officer Leadership Course, Ranger School (the Military's premier Leadership school), and Airborne School. When I completed the rigorous training I quickly reported to my gaining unit, Apache Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.
