Managed and successfully ran satellite coded weld shop for international company with 14 employees and $4 million/yr. in sales. Increased production revenue by 38% with implementation of visual management systems for tracking build schedules, materials, and deliveries.My responsibilities included directing department managers, ensuring facility and operational compliance, developing business plans and financial budgets including profit and loss statements, developing and implementing continuous improvement projects, and managed multi-site projects and material sourcing. Also for management of all aspects of facility: schedules, material tracking, resource procurement, budgeting, continuous improvement, and employee & facilities management. Also responsible for accountability at corporate meetings of the present state of operations including production, financials, challenges, and etc.

I worked with over 150 different manufacturing and technology-based businesses and chaired over 1000 coaching sessions to develop a total of over $57 million in additional revenue for my clients. These sessions were performed remotely and on-site at client’s facilities; and primarily were focused on operational management, continuous improvement, regulatory compliances, and business planning. In addition to this, I was responsible for providing detailed reporting back to the State of the coaching sessions and financial accountability.Trained, certified, and experienced in a variety of business development programs (provided by the Ohio Development Services Agency) designed to assist clients. Primary focus on business consulting, lean management, project & business plan development, continuous improvement (product & process), proposal & grant writing, and market content writing.

R&D Lab Manager – Managed and successfully executed an R&D lab. Collaborated with technological leaders in industry, academia, and government on new manufacturing techniques for polymer composite constructions for aerospace and defense.Managed 3 award winning research grant proposals: 2 SBIRs (NASA, Navy), Ohio’s 3rd Frontier (Army) in addition to collaborating on several more. Lectured at several peer-review events on materials for defense applications. Engineering - Designed and fabricated jigs, fixtures, and patterns for use in secondary production activities and Computer Numerical Controlled machines. Successfully developed prototype projects to establish operational procedures, validate testing, and train team members involved with the projects to implement production runs. Moderated problem-solving events with production staff. Participated in continuous improvement events.QA Manager – Developed “Quality Tracking” guidelines and “Technical Data Packages” for each product unit. Supervised daily part, materials, and procedure inspections. Managed multi-department alignment, and root-cause analysis projects. Established and verified all measurement procedures and schedules of production parts and raw materials with validation and traceability.
