Also maintenance and enhancements to CICS programs called by the Visual Basic client application to retrieve mainframe customer data stored in DB2 tables. Attended several Visual Basic and SQL Server classes in preparation for assuming responsibility for support of the Visual Basic/ SQL Server portion of the system.

Legacy data was extracted from IMS and ADABAS via COBOL programs and ADASQL, formatted and translated into Oracle load files, transferred to the UNIX machine, and then loaded into Oracle tables using SQR programs. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining data maps, developing and maintaining COBOL and SQR conversion programs, assisting with data validation, and running mock conversions as well as the final live conversion, which involved all HR tables including Job and extensive Job History. Also was heavily involved in the design, development, and implementation of Reconciliation SQR programs to reconcile converted Peoplesoft data to Legacy data. -
