Responsible for a project to ensure the correct amount of cooling water was able to be diverted to the reactor to support Loss of Large Area (LOLA) emergency planning. This project gave me an opportunity to use the knowledge obtained in College from Fluid Mechanics and apply it to a real-world application.Tasks included:- Gather Documents such as P&IDs, ISOs, and Pump Curves.- Use fluid mechanics equations to determine the head loss within the system.- Trace piping on P&IDs, ISOs, and CAD to determine pertinent info needed in calculations.- Coordinate with various engineering groups, ensuring alignment of project objectives and progress.- Present progress of the project to management, highlighting risks, issues, and successes.

Responsible for the upkeep of multimillion-dollar High Frequency (HF) Radios as well as Land Mobile Radios (LMR). Work included conducting PMIs, Scheduled and Unscheduled Maintenance, and communicating issues/risks to the uptime of equipment.As a technician, I was able to gain valuable experience in the maintenance world as well as what it means to be a professional.
