I have always enjoyed working with people regardless of background or situation. Being a teacher in special education is very fulfilling in this manner. As a teacher I am able to help shape my students educationally, socially and behaviorally to assist in preparing them for the next step in their journey. Over all I have over ten years experience working with students with special needs. I started out as a paraprofessional then worked in ABA (applied behavior analysis) therapist, behavior interventionist, and am now a teacher. Having had experience in the different avenues in working in education as well as working with different students has better prepared me as a teacher. I love education and learning new things. I recently took on an additional job teaching in the education preparation program for SCCOE. I have recently completed my administrative credential and inspire to be a leader in the special education field. I love to teach, learn, encourage, and inspire.
