Based in Richmond VA and Washington DC, Don Belt is a former National Geographic writer and senior editor with decades of experience in the fields of mass communications, journalism, and foreign affairs. He currently teaches journalism at the University of Richmond and serves on the board of the Out of Eden Walk non-profit. With a grant from the Pulitzer Center, he teaches slow journalism workshops at universities across the U.S. He is also a dynamic presenter and professional speaker, with a unique perspective on geopolitical trends, human culture, and the frontiers of global community.
