The C15 Compact Softswitch is a second-generation Carrier VoIP softswitch that enables regional and rural service providers to offer new advanced VoIP and data services while continuing to meet subscriber demand for traditional voice services. The associated development team is a group of highly experienced engineers who are responsible for feature implementation, product evolution, and the support of the C15. As a part of this team my primary area of focus is VoIP implementation and support.Responsibilities and accomplishments include:• Introduction of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) support.• Provide technical leadership on subsequent SIP feature development.• RFC specification review; development cost estimate creation.• Interface to 3rd party software implementations.• Coordinate efforts from offshore development centers.• Development and training of other engineers in my areas of expertise.• System capacity and call throughput enhancements.• Introduction of H.248 support.
