Manage many of the departments IT/Information related processes.Produce a weekly electronic newsletter that is distributed to over 7000 addresses.Maintain the agencies’ Intranet providing both web page design and on line applications.Develop automated processes using Excel and Access programming that allows users the ability to streamline many daily tasks.Provide some technical help in both hardware and software use.

Managed the IT department for an agency that included a central office in Richmond, over 30 State Park locations and a number of remote Soil and Water, and Natural Heritage offices. Took over the department to bring the agency through the Year 2000 change and improved customer service and services throughout the agency. Had to leave the agency and go to Virginia Dept of Technologies Agency and then to Northrop Grumman when the state consolidated IT and then out sourced. Stayed at the same location to support DCR but felt the state actions was not the best move and was costing the agencies much more than necessary. Decided that I could no longer provide my best to the agency in that position. Left Northrop Grumman to go back to work for Virginia State Parks in a non-management role.

Taught computer programming and managed Information Technology for the college.

20 years most of which was in computer repair and programming for mini and main frame computers.
