Don is the founding partner of Carrillo Law, LLC and focuses his practice on the representation of national and local corporations in the defense of tort liability matters. Don works with his clients even before lawsuits are threatened and trains employees to implement risk management "best practices," which reduces risk of liability exposure and lowers the number of general liability claims filed against his clients. Don is immediately responsive to all client questions and inquiries and understands that it is his responsibility to make the lives of the claim professionals he works with easier through constant communication.Before starting Carrillo Law, LLC, Don worked for a large defense firm where he represented clients in retail, product liability and construction litigation cases. Don has gained extensive experience in both the federal and state court systems throughout his career and is licensed to practice law in the federal courts for the Northern District of Illinois, Southern District of Illinois in addition to the Illinois state bar. He is also adept at resolving matters for his clients through alternative dispute resolution mediums and has achieved successful results in mediations, arbitrations, and pre-trial settlement conferences.For the years 2013-2018, Don has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the Illinois Super Lawyers list of "Rising Stars," published by Thompson Reuters.
