Program Manager for The University of California Irvine Medical Center’s electronic medical record project. The scope of this project included transition of the University’s existing legacy registration and clinical applications systems onto the Eclipsys SunriseXA suite of applications.

Provided financial process design and system control consulting services during the implementation of Eclipsys’s SunriseXA suite. The implementation included clinical documentation, order entry, medication administration, and automated charge capture. Specific responsibilities included leading the design and build of the billing infrastructure, including conversion of a manual charge generation system to an automated charge generating system, aligned with clinical work flow.

Implementation consultant to Baylor’s clinical transformation initiative. Responsibilities included market analysis and vendor selection for multi-million dollar software acquisition and consultation on the implementation of the selected vendor, Eclipsys Corporation’s SunriseXA suite of applications. Areas of focus included the participation and delivery of technical design and deployment in addition to current and future state process analysis. Application build work delivered work flow re-engineering of existing clinical work flows in an effort to standardize delivery of patient care across the enterprise.

Ellis Technologies is a software development company founded in 2001. The company developed and licensed asset recovery software for use in the financial auditing industry. The firm, in partnership with ReCAAPture professional services, implemented recovery software for Sikorsky Aircraft, Pratt & Whitney, and Rockwell Collins. During the first quarter of 2003, I sold all controlling interest in Ellis Technologies, staying on as interim CTO during the succession on my duties.
