In addition to long- and short-range planning for the City of Chubbuck, I am responsible for assisting developers and property owners through annexation and other land development applications. Transportation Planning and Project Management:Highlights - currently managing programs for local agencies in Project Development and Implementation Grants.Project Development Program engages consultants to develop transportation projects for local agencies with better cost estimates and anticipation of environmental and public involvement issues. Currently working with four consultant teams on various projects, including road widening, storm drainage, and pathway bridges/underpasses.CIM Implementation Grant Program helps to fund locally important projects that also meet regional goals in downtown areas and other activity centers. To date four projects have been completed, nine additional funded projects are underway, including design, construction, planning, and maintenance.Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho (COMPASS) is the Metropolitan (Transportation) Planning Organization for the Boise region. Community Planning and Redevelopment:Highlights - led neighborhood planning efforts, historic preservation projects and development services.Neighborhood planning and visioning comprised facilitated public workshops to identify and prioritize issues and recommended changes. Successfully completed three neighborhood plans and initiated city-wide master plan update.Historic and cultural preservation featured the purchase of 1920 Relief Society Building and 1880 Rock House and developing historic marker program. Installed bronze markers at 14 downtown sites and facilitated partnership to erect Abbott family monument on City Hall block.Development services included reviewing all land development proposals and writing recommendations to City Council; negotiated agreements between City and developers of master planned communities; reviewed all building permits.

Demographics and Redistricting:Highlights - annual population estimates and redistricting.Supervised annual population estimates and housing counts; directed redistricting for County Commissioners to accommodate 600,000 new residents that moved to the County between the 1990 and 2000 Census. Also managed County preparations and responses to Census2000.Community/Regional Long-Range Planning:Highlights - urban and rural community planning and trails and pathways planning.Worked in different planning team on long-range/comprehensive plans for urban/suburban areas in the Las Vegas Valley, and small town/rural planning in outlying areas of Clark County. Coordinated trails and pathways planning program for two years, including trail maintenance grants.
