Lightyear Health was a provider of specialty physiatry and pain management services to skilled nursing facilities. I identified opportunities in the market to provide services to enhance patient and facility outcomes. Reduced pain scores and improved function scores improved quality of life for patients. More accurate clinical scoring improved MDS accuracy by improving Section GG and PDPM scores. Revenue enhancements, reduced rehospitalizations and Acute Care Episode costs improved both reimbursement and census. Successfully opened 3 new markets, launched services and managed customer relationships. Lightyear closed down late 2024.

I was responsible for enhancing relationships with CCRC's, SNFs, and Senior Living communities during and after the pandemic. I focused on identifying and developing areas where Concept Rehab and Engage Wellness could help prospective customers increase census, improve MDS accuracy, improve quality measures and enhance their bottom line. Engage Wellness was a new product line that I helped to launch.

Developed and managed a department that created a suite of value-added services for Encore customers. Established a corporate customer plan of strategic value-added services and enhanced census and 5 Star Quality Measures using various data source resources. Oversaw all strategic value-added service efforts within Encore Rehabilitation Services. Fostered improvement programs/efforts with a particular focus on helping our customers develop strategic plans to participate in various hospital Post-Acute Care Networks, ACOs, and MCOs.

Partnered with a start-up therapy company in 2007 and helped operate and grow it by 20% per year for the first 6 years, achieving an annual top-line revenue of $130 million. Brought on equity partners and acquired other companies that brought us to approximately $500 million dollars in revenue per year in 8 years.

Started as the Director of Business Development for a therapy company where I brought on 28 contracted facilities in the first 18 months, adding over $13 million in annual top-line revenue. Moved into a Regional Director of Operations role where I managed all aspects of a large multi-site 45 facility region within the company. Customized dynamic therapy programs for our partnered facilities that achieved excellent clinical and financial outcomes.

Worked with hospitals and skilled nursing facilities in Ohio where I developed strategic alliances to increase transport volume by 25% the first year. Designed and executed Marketing and Business Plan to accelerate growth. Formulated pricing strategies and pricing model. Directed new sales initiatives to build accounts and establish client relationships. Wrote internal and external newsletters focused on achieving and increasing value of organization. Created branding and corporate identity to increase the value of services. Handled media relations, planning, negotiation of rates, and promotional opportunities. Had input on website development. Designed and executed Corporate Compliance and HIPAA Compliance Plan.
