Since 2018, I have loved running my food blog, NevaFindsFood. It's a space that allows me to create and bring content surrounding my favorite eats and at home treats! I love to showcase local brands, Black owned brands, women owned brands and more. I find it refreshing to share new products with my friends and followers who trust me to bring them the best food and kitchen brands around.

I served as a high school Family and Consumer Sciences teacher for 13 years. During this time, I taught several different courses from, but not limited to; Culinary Arts, Restaurant Management, and Management 101. I was responsible for managing classes of 20-35 students at a time, actively ensuring their safety and well-being. Outside of the classroom, I spent several years coaching the spirit and cheer squad. I was recruited to create several different curriculums for two separate districts.

Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Babes Who Brunch - DFW was curated as a monthly brunch experience for women in the DFW metroplex. I was responsible for planning and organizing each event on a monthly basis. Connecting with restaurants across DFW, I secured partnerships and sponsorships that allowed me to create an intimate and inviting experience. Brunches were suspended due to COVID-19. I am hoping to resume them soon here in Portland.

My tenure with Sylvan began in 2003 as a teacher's assistant. My final role as Director of Education consisted of many tasks. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, overseeing the correct placement and educational growth of every student, scheduling and overseeing labor costs, and communicating with classroom teachers to ensure cohesive learning.
