I've been fortunate enough to work within the Canadian book and publishing industry for the past 20 years. The focus of my efforts has been to communicate to people across Canada and around the world the importance of Canadian mountaineering, adventure travel, the environment, First Nations, arts and culture through this country's outstanding selection of adventurers, authors, artists, books and book publishers. Along the way, I have been responsible for the creation and management of traditional and on-line media, marketing and communication campaigns designed to raise the profile of various books, authors and publishing companies within the Canadian cultural sector. These endevours have allowed me to understand the complexities of effectively communicating what it means to be Canadian to people in the United States, United Kingdom and across Canada. It has also allowed me to understand how much this country has to offer to those interested in the Canadian experience.As a book publisher, I have worked with authors, artists, photographs and corporate clients on all aspects of the book publishing process. I possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in many situations and have experience with contract negotiations, brand management, social media, sales, marketing, publicity, general staff management and strategic team building.I'm always eagre to speak with others in the book publishing and book selling industries about the changes we're facing, along with possibilities regarding new and exciting projects, proposals or opportunities.
