• Created and led IT Zero Defect Team that implemented algorithms to use statistical analysis of semiconductor manufacturing test results to identify and discard outlier automotive parts that are likely to be early failures.• Led team that implemented and deployed Station Controller software for semiconductor testers resulting in increased equipment utilization, reduction in operator errors and savings through test equipment cost avoidance.• Coordinated large team to create 3-year Final Manufacturing Roadmap and Plan to support Freescale’s Advanced Intelligent Manufacturing Initiative.• Coordinated team that defined test results data standards for semiconductor manufacturing, documented standards, led the adoption process and delivered the standards to product engineers. Using the standards insures that data will load properly into engineering analysis databases and has allowed engineers to focus their work on data analysis rather than data collection.• Successfully prevented company from losing major contracts by traveling to each of four Asian subcontractors, identifying problems with semiconductor test data, then developing and tracking get-well plans for each site.

• Represented Motorola on industry team that created standard interface definitions for semiconductor testers, probers and handlers. The Semi TSEM, PSEM and HSEM standards were implemented based on this work.• Led worldwide team that planned and deployed complex hardware and software system to 8 factories in US, Europe and Asia within a 10-week schedule. System collects semiconductor test results data and uses data to drive test-time reduction algorithms.• Successfully prevented company from losing major contracts by traveling to each of four Asian subcontractors, identifying problems with semiconductor test data, then developing and tracking get-well plans for each site.• Created and led team that developed and deployed a Shop Floor Control system that integrated semiconductor manufacturing equipment and controlled manufacturing processes. System was deployed to 7 factories in Motorola where it substantially improved throughput and reduced processing errors. Presentation on system received Best software Paper award at Motorola Technical Symposium.

Managed team that implemented simulation language and tools to support modeling for “Star Wars” simulations for Department of Defense.

• Led team that implemented Interactive Planning Work Station that was used by AT&T to interactively plan the migration of the telephone facility network from analog to digital. Received Best Paper Award at Bell Laboratories Technical Symposium and Interactive Planning Work Station was judged as one of the top 100 software inventions in Bell Telephone Laboratories history. • Designed and coordinated development of system that collected all telephone trouble reports generated in North America, routed these calls through complete network model, generated trouble reports and distributed them to maintenance personnel throughout the continent. System was judged as one of the top 100 software inventions in Bell Telephone Laboratories history.
