CurrentI lead the nation's leading private organization that is fighting the abuse of anabolic steroids, HGH and other appearance and performance enhancing drugs by our young people. We formed this foundaton after the death of my 17 year old son, Taylor.In this position, I have spoken to hundreds of thousands young people around the country in addition to doctors, law enforcement, coaches, parents and others. I have testified before Congress on 3 occasions, contributed to Senator Mitchell's report on the use of performance enhancing drugs in Major League Baseball, testified before multiple state legislatures, met with state governors, and more. Taylor's story has appeared on CBS 60 Minutes and a large number of other national and regional TV programs. The New York Times did a front page (Sports) story on our work. Many other national and international print media organizations have covered our efforts.For my work in this field, the Dallas Morning News named me their annual Sports Personality of the Year for the State of Texas, the Dallas Observer named me the 15th Most Powerful Sports Person in the Metroplex, the Institute for International Sports named me as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Sports Educators in America, and the United States Sports Academy presented me with the Distinguished Service Award.
