Responsible for the Program Management Office team guiding the Network Engineers and Specialists (NE&S) contract for the Defense Health Agency. Our contract has on-site network staff at 102 Department of Defense installations world-wide. We are responsible for the core and edge switch devices across their assigned medical network enclave. Assist in data collection from circuits and core devices to proactively predict network issues and identify anomalies; create reports with accompanying deep-dive analysis for management review and action. My multi-faceted role within Fulcrum is by-and-large to serve as the network engineer/architect and analyst consultant on technical and network-related projects for the Fulcrum DoD IT contract Project/Program Manager’s and their IT Team Leads. I also assist with program and procedural guidance, standardization of contract management processes, and corporate reach-back. My support includes rolling up my sleeves and providing direct, billable on-site technical engineering, general network oversight and surge support as needed for client initiatives and contract requirements.• Give feedback and insight on monitoring network/system performance; collect and analyze log files from networked devices to proactively predict issues and identify anomalies, provide reports to management and lessons-learned to staff; utilize available network tools to troubleshoot non-routine, complex technical issues; work through technical challenges with teams as a Tier III network engineer asset.• Mentor and assist the PM’s with team management, recruiting, training and retention efforts/events; often, just being there for them to bounce ideas/issues off me to ensure everyone is on the same page.• Contribute technical data and reports, writing and feedback in direct support to the Fulcrum business development executives.Fulcrum has presence at more than 25 different CONUS locations, and 10 OCONUS sites. Support the Defense Center of Excellence's (DCOE) National Center for Telehealth and Technology (T2) on Joint Base Lewis-McChord with project management and Information Assurance services, helping create and develop secure software for mobile devices and PC's utilizing virtual reality, virtual worlds, and other innovative technologies; all with the potential to improve the Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury resources for service members, veterans, and their families.

Provided contract oversight and project management for the tiag Team BAMC members who performed the initial network outfitting to the new Brooke Army Medical Center Consolidated Tower, a 900,000 square foot hospital addition housing approximately 2,500 personnel. The scope of work included installing and imaging new and transferred computers from Wilford Hall Medical Center, installing and configuring network printers and copiers, and installing and configuring network switches and wireless access points.

Worked with the United States Army Medical Information Technology Center (USAMITC) Sustainment Branch as a Consultant/Technical Engineer, contracted through TIAG. The scope of this position is to assist in designing and engineering secure technical solutions for MEDCOM’s Enterprise initiatives that produce a customizable framework of best practices designed to promote quality computing services in the MEDCOM information technology sector. This includes analyzing MEDCOM's current AD/Exchange implementation and providing a status report before and after remediation actions are planned and executed. Additionally, I engineered daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly checklists for enterprise monitoring and preventative maintenance.

After four great years at Apptis, I'm making a major career move and working with Todd Lammle at GlobalNet Training to refresh my Cisco technical skill-set. I've been "riding a desk" and consulting on technical issues, and I want to step into a more hands-on role of designing/deploying/supporting the network infrastructure. I should be completed with my upgrade training by early April, and will then start browsing the job market.

Supervised and monitored the performance of contract activities for the Tri-Service Infrastructure Management Program Office (TIMPO) Network Engineers and Specialists (NES) contract, and the Air Education and Training Command IM/IT Support Contract. Served as point-of-contact with contract Task Managers. Submited monthly progress reports to TM documenting performance on the delivery orders to-date, budget summary and burn analysis, and monthly invoice detailing labor and ODCs. Report also included input from all sites identifying significant events, trouble-ticket description of network issues and actions taken, and any network downtime. Oversees training and certification requirements to ensure employees meet DOD 8570 Information Assurance guidelines.
