I am a writer combining a passion for written word and outdoor adventure to create engaging and inspiring content for both private clients and personal platforms. I have a BA in Writing from the University of Montana, where I focused on creative non-fiction, and an AFA in Piano Performance from McNally Smith College of Music, where I honed my abilities as a concert pianist and studio keyboardist. I have over twenty years of experience as a pianist, over twelve years as a piano teacher, and four years as a writer and editor. Additionally, I am skilled and tenured in emergency and rescue technician and as a mountain athlete. My competencies in writing are vast but not limited to creative writing, marketing, web resource, and tourism. I have written for The Tour Guy, a leading online travel agency, as a ski writer, covering various ski destinations and resorts in Europe and North America. I have also worked as an editor, proofreading and editing articles, essays, and poems for various publications and websites, including the highly regarded High Desert Journal. I am passionate about the world and an avid traveler, and have explored and written about countless experiences, such as climbing the Grand Teton, skiing throughout the Rocky Mountains, and kayaking famous Montana whitewater. I previously worked as an outdoor educator at Wilderness Inquiry, a guide at Moonlight Basin, and a sales associate at The North Face, where I gained valuable experience and knowledge in the field of outdoor recreation and the importance of adventure. I am driven by the mission of inspiring and educating others about the beauty and diversity of nature and culture, and I strive to produce high-quality and captivating content that reflects my passions. l have a background in hospitality, health, public policy, having worked as a front desk agent for Hilton throughout college, as an inpatient phlebotomist for Providence Health, an EMT for Best Practice Medicine, and as a supervisor for the Missoula City County Health department. I have multiple certifications in firefighting, emergency medicine and CPR, wilderness first response, and I speak Spanish fluently. I consider myself a life-long and avid learner.
