Don Johnson is a professional .Net Software Developer and Sr. IT Manager. My IT career has focused on the creation of software infrastructures and applications for mission critical enterprise operations. I currently develops responsive web applications for enterprise operations and exploring efficient DevOps processes that improve team velocity. Recently I completed an interesting .Net project to develop software to import, track, report and transmit ACA (Affordable Care Act) compliance data to the IRS for municipalities and other private sector organizations. As a member of the Open Travel Association (OTA) Air Working Group technical committee I managed creation of OTA based infrastructure to foster direct business-to-business commerce. I'm very proud of my membership and contribution to the Air Transportation Association (ATA) technical committee, sponsored to develop technical standards for secure business-to-business employee verification supporting offline jumpseating; suspended by the TSA after the World Trade Center disaster. As part of that effort, I led the design and development of the Cockpit Access Security System (CASS) and helped test and demonstrate the communication infrastructure to the ATA. This resulted in approval by the TSA, FAA, ATA and member companies to resume offline jumpseating. I also managed IT field services delivery for all of United’s South Pacific airports during the Continental Airlines/United Airlines merger. I have bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics and have been awarded four patents for electromagnetic oil well logging tool antenna system designs.
